Yayasan City U was established in 2023 to help close the gap between talent and opportunity — one scholarship, one classroom and one community at a time.
2026 is a year of arrival. With LHDN approval under Subsection 44(6) for five years from 1 June 2026, we now stand on firm institutional ground. The RM1 million contribution from City University Malaysia, and the RM1 million from Selia Group for the Selia Chair in Leadership, are more than gifts; they are expressions of confidence in what education-led philanthropy can achieve when it is governed with integrity.
Our ambition is clear: to widen access to quality education, to support deserving and financially challenged students, to nurture leaders who serve with purpose, and to build partnerships between education, industry and society that outlast any single year. We will measure ourselves not by the funds we raise, but by the lives that change.
To our trustees, partners and donors, thank you for believing in this vision. To every future partner, I extend a sincere invitation: join us in building a legacy of learning for generations to come.
