YCU Scholarship: opening the door to education

No student with the ability to learn should be turned away by the cost of learning.

A YCU leader speaking warmly with scholarship recipients seated at their tables

Scholarships are the heart of Yayasan City U’s work. They carry out the first goal in our strategic plan: to provide financial assistance to students, widen access to quality education and support deserving and financially challenged learners. Each award is meant to do more than pay a fee. It gives a capable student the stability to stay enrolled, to finish the programme, and to grow into a graduate who serves community and country.

The YCU Scholarship is funded by the generosity of partners such as City University Malaysia and Selia Group, and it is open to named scholarships and programmes that donors choose to establish. Applications are assessed fairly on financial need, academic commitment, and leadership and community involvement, and every award is decided by the Scholarship Committee. Awards are subject to available funding, and every ringgit is documented, monitored and reported.
